Tamaryn Da Ponte, Esq.
Tamaryn is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in criminal prosecution, legal project management, and international governance initiatives. Having served as an Assistant County Attorney at the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office in Manchester, New Hampshire, she handled complex criminal litigation in Superior Court, prosecuting felonies, misdemeanors, and violations from investigation through jury trial and sentencing, specifically pertaining to special victim matters.
With a distinguished legal career spanning multiple continents, Tamaryn brings a unique global perspective to her practice. She concurrently serves as Country Director for the International Institute for Ethical Governance and Accountability, where she champions transparency, accountability, and ethical governance practices while establishing IIEGA’s presence throughout the United States and developing Centers of Excellence in partnership with universities.
Prior to her current roles, Tamaryn served as Energy and Environmental Legal Project Manager at Bernstein Shur in Portland, Maine, where she managed complex contracts, coordinated legal teams, and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements while representing the firm in client meetings. Her experience encompasses both private practice and corporate legal environments, including several years practicing in South Africa where she handled diverse matters ranging from personal injury and criminal law to corporate compliance and affirmative action legislation.
Tamaryn holds a LL.M. in General American Law from the University of Maine School of Law, a LL.B. from the University of Pretoria (South Africa), and a Diploma of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa’s Graduate School of Business Leadership. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, New York and South Africa, and she is bilingual.
Known for her strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and ability to navigate complex legal frameworks, Tamaryn combines rigorous legal analysis with practical business acumen. Her entrepreneurial background as a former business owner and managing director further enhances her ability to understand client needs and deliver results-oriented legal solutions in fast-paced environments.
In her free time Tamaryn likes to spend time with her family, comprising of three children and husband and what she considers her fur babies. She is an avid reader and enjoys solving puzzles.
Kathleen Ireland, Esq.
Kathleen is an accomplished international attorney with extensive experience in cross-border law, global mobility, and international trade. She earned a dual major Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Law, as well as her J.D. equivalent (LLB), from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She later completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Trade at the University of Stellenbosch, focusing on international economic regulation and global commercial frameworks.
Kathleen was admitted as an attorney, notary, and conveyancer in the High Court of South Africa, where she spent nearly twenty years in private practice. Her work focused on property transfers, probate, and estate administration-areas that continue to shape her compassionate, client-focused approach to immigration matters. She is also admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, bringing an added layer of comparative legal insight to her practice.
For more than 14 years, Kathleen served as the legal adviser to Comair, a publicly traded airline operating in Southern Africa under license for British Airways. That role gave her substantial exposure to cross-border compliance, international contracts, and the practical realities of global movement, and it honed her ability to manage regulatory risk in highly regulated industries. She previously served as Program Manager at South Dakota Trade, overseeing day-to-day operations and the strategic distribution of federal grant funding designed to expand global business opportunities for U.S. companies. Before joining SDT, she worked in the manufacturing sector with Astec Industries, a publicly traded U.S. corporation, where she managed complex international transactions across the company’s global divisions and coordinated multi-jurisdictional teams.
After immigrating to the United States with her family, Kathleen was admitted to the New York Bar. Her own experience navigating the immigration system gives her a personal and practical understanding of the emotional and procedural challenges clients face. She combines her global legal background with empathy, clear communication, and actionable guidance to ensure clients feel informed, confident, and supported at every step of the process.

Marcel Da Ponte, Office Manager
Marcel brings more than 30 years of international leadership, discipline, and high-performance experience to the practice of immigration law. Born in South Africa, Marcel developed early on a reputation for excellence, focus, and service qualities that now define his work as a trusted advocate for individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.
Before beginning his career in the legal field, Marcel enjoyed a distinguished athletic and coaching journey across multiple countries, earning recognition for his leadership and dedication. He served as captain of several South African teams and trained under world-class coaches, ultimately competing at the NCAA Division I level in the United States while earning his degree in Business Administration from Ball State University. His international background and firsthand experience adjusting to life in the U.S. give him a unique and deeply personal understanding of the challenges immigrants face.
Marcel went on to build a successful career as an elite coach, guiding athletes to national and international championships and holding memberships in global professional organizations. His work demanded precision, strategic planning, and exceptional communication skills he now applies to complex immigration matters. His coaching philosophy “doing the little things exceptionally well” remains at the core of his legal approach, where attention to detail, rigorous preparation, and clear guidance make a measurable difference for his clients.
Today, Marcel assists immigrants from across the world with the same dedication he brought to his international coaching career. He has experience supporting clients through a wide range of processes, including family-based immigration, employment and talent-based visas, student transitions, residency, and citizenship. Known for his supportive demeanor and solution-oriented mindset, Marcel works to ensure every client feels guided, empowered, and understood throughout their journey.
